This book is just plain racism. It is not good.

I get that this book is interesting to study and analyse (I had too read this for uni class too) but that does not make this book more interesting.
It is written in a very weird way, I had te reread sentences and paragraphs to understand what was really said but I think I missed 90% of the story. I read somewhere the author wanted to portray the difficulty of going through the jungle in his writing and I can say he succeeded in that.

Would absolutely not recommend this book, spare yourself, love yourself.

This book is amazing, but it is not very accessible considering how dense it is.

I had to read this for my English class and did not enjoy it. The entire books is Conrad thinking he is better than the other Europeans for believing that colonialism is wrong while being still painting racist caricatures of the native people. It's also ridiculously slow.
Another angering thing is he tells the story as a frame story, and then nothing happens to the people on the boat that the narrator is telling the story to.
