Barely a novel, quite short. I really had a hard time reading it for what it is -- I kept referencing Apocalypse Now in my head. Satisfying ending as well.

I think I’m a mood reader and I just wasn’t in the mood. It was an interesting blip into one individual story but could have been something much more grand about the Congo and the ivory trade. So zero’d in to Kurtz that I think it did lack some story building.  Beautiful prose. WILL REREAD !!
