I loved First Sister’s POV, but for the most part did not care about Lito very much or what he was going through. Overall I did enjoy this book, but it was sometimes difficult to stay motivated to continue since I personally preferred First Sister’s chapters by quite a bit. I listened to the audio book and the voice actors were all quite good.

i dont actually have a lot of feeling towards this book so i dont have a lot to say. i felt as thought things kept getting resolved rather quickly, that things were getting brushed over, that not a lot was happening overall.

i imagine in the sequel we find a lot more out about the sisterhood, which is good cause i am very intrigued on how they rose to power and why they exist. not a whole lot is explained about them in this book.

the characters were fine, mostly likeable. the relationships between the characters were very lackluster, more of a tell not show.

we needed a lot more internal struggles from our characters upon finding out distressing and confusing information that we just did not get.

Leaving this unrated because I didn't finish the book. It contains a list of things that are huge nopes for me in reading and IRL world and I could not go through it.

The worldbuilding is intriguing, evoking vibes like the Expanse, but sticks to the surface of larger ideas and focuses more on individuals. The first half of the book is engaging and mysterious, but the resolution feels rushed and underdeveloped.

A rough beginning with an emotional middle and a mind boggling end.
