This book was simply boring. It had all the right settings but the characters were so stereotypical they were boring

Simply put, this story is a love letter to books and bookshops; it’s warm, cosy, romantic, funny, and exactly what I needed. After reading the first book last year, it was great to come back to the characters and spend more time with them. I love, love, love the dialogue - both adult and child, and I find it hard to imagine anyone not falling for them. My only gripe was the pov hopping in chapters, but I’m even willing to forgive that. I really wish there was another one in the series!

A little slow to get started, but still enjoyable.

I truly enjoy Colgan’s books. As someone who has visited Scotland many times, I feel like I’m right there again, transported by her great descriptions of Edinburgh. I love the characters - fun and interesting. Predictable but a great holiday read.

What a fun story, with Christmas merriment to end the tale. Carmen's journey with her sister, Sofia and children, Mr. McCredie, owner of the bookshop, Oke, and Rudi were woven together to make it a comforting and joyous tale.

My first book of the holiday season did not disappoint! Saving a bookstore and finding love, with everybody getting their Christmas wishes. A well-rounded happily ever after ❤️🎄💚

Settle the logs in the fireplace, grab your favorite cuppa, and squiggle into an overstuffed chair. Sweet, light, and fun, with happy endings guaranteed, you're in for a holiday treat. To best enjoy this book, I recommend getting to know the characters and backstory by reading The Christmas Bookshop first.
