Not my favorite in The Cowboys of Chance Creek series, especially because Fila seemed to almost become super-human at times.

I love this book and it needs to be modified and submitted to Hallmark!

I love the Cowboys of Chance Creek series. I'm sorry to say that this was by far my least favorite one. The writing was good but the story line was too unbelievable for me to enjoy. Everything happened so fast. Fila Sahar's programming by the Taliban was so severe and would have taken a long, long time to break through, which made the story even more unrealistic. Holt's negative reaction to Ned wanting to marry such a broken woman was typical for Holt's personality but made me dislike him even more. For as emotionally scattered as Fila was, she had mountains of courage! Maybe it was from everything she's been through or maybe because she loved Ned so much. She may not be fully ready to re-enter society but her determination to save Ned was amazing.

I love the writing style of Cora Seton and will continue to enjoy her books as always. Looking forward to the next book in this fantastic series.
