artemis fowl junior: sono totalmente, completamente pazza d’amore per te!
Artemis teams up with the fairy world once again, this time to rescue his kidnapped father from the Russian Mafia.
As someone who enjoyed the first book and still had fun with this one, I have to admit I’m probably a too old for it.
The plot is fast-paced and entertaining, and the characters are fine, but let's be real, I am not this book's demographic.
I am still determined to read this series though.

This was such a fun continuation of the Artemis Fowl series. Artemis seems to have really grown as a person in this book, and I look forward to seeing as his growth continues through the series.
The teaser at the end just kills me!
Anyway I certainly love it. Artemis shows very deep character development and maturity. And not just Artemis, but the whole crew as well. Sorry I can't give a full out review right now. The third book is calling for me. Chow!

Some books are fun to revisit- The Boxcar Children, Matt Christopher, Redwall, all hold up in their own ways, in my experience. This.. not so much. The writing is fantastic, and it’s probably still great for its target audience, it just.. feels a bit over-the-top, now. Every scene feels like it’s designed for maximum suspense, with some miraculous unlikely solution just barely being executed in time. Again, as a kid I loved it, but now it just feels a bit.. manufactured, like it’s going for the movie deal with cinematic material rather than presenting a good story.
But that’s me overanalyzing it now. 2-3 stars for this read-through, 5 stars as a kid, so I’ll balance it between the two.
