I wanted to like this book. Cole was supposed to be complicated but turned out so 1 dimensional. Mara was just kind of dumb through the whole thing. The book started great with Mara being so strong but the more she was built, the less interesting she got.

Be aware of triggers! I personally was not triggered, but everyone reacts differently. I think Hunting Adeline (the second in the series of a different dark romance) was far darker than this for purposes of comparison. I did love the playlist that came with the book (it also tells you when to play it) and the author actually has a public Spotify where you can play it from. I liked that the plot was focused even if the characters and their motivations were written somewhat inconsistently. Overall, it’s a good read and I might suggest it for someone getting into darker romance.

the things i would let cole blackwell do to me is astronomical! i swear to all that is good in this world, if that man asked me to strip naked, run into oncoming traffic, and let car after car run my ass over i would. without a hesitation. head empty, only cole.

sophie lark stuck her whole colussy in this book. sweet lord look at how i’m behaving.. like i ain’t got no damn sense. well i don’t so hahahaha.
there are no saints is, to me, a damn near perfect book and i will want to be buried with it when i die. the un-holy sounds that came out of my mouth when i read certain parts is embarrassing!

anyway wow wow woooooooooooooooooooooow this book is great.

I’m not sure how I feel about this yet, because I really couldn’t connect with Cole. I felt like this author did an amazing job of making him a psychopath though.

And Mara… babygirl, you’re lucky it was Cole that fixated on you first and deeper cause you are stupidly brave. I still love you though.

I’m gonna read the second book simply because I need to know what happens with Alastor, because otherwise I just didn’t a good bond with these two.

4/5 on the spicy scale. You gotta hella different kinks in this book.
