Oh I liked this one a lot. My general rule of thumb when it comes to exes is “never look back,” but pretending to date your ex is a classic and wonderful premise for a rom com. I loved the characters and I loved the journey. This book definitely gets steamy and if it were adapted to a show or movie (more likely a movie) it would be for HBO, not Netflix. I would absolutely recommend and read again.

I enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed Kian and thought he was funny. I never really believed their love story though. I’m usually a sucker for second chance romances because the history makes things so much more interesting, but this book basically didn’t play with that history at all. And this is the most minute thing to be annoyed at, but every time Hudson tried to make a racy joke, Kian would shut it down. Like dude, he literally just blew you, let him make a funny comment about it.

Tropes: fake dating, second chance romance

I thought this book was ADORABLE. Kian was so funny and I loved being in his head. Hudson annoyed me at first but he grew on me as we got to know him. I think overall, this was a super fun, queer read.
