The Trial

Rob Rinder

3.92 AVERAGE

The story on the whole was good, nice twist to the plot but the narrator was awful, couldn’t carry off a female voice at all, didn’t flow well when reading hard to keep track of who was who - shame as that spoilt the story

Not as shocking as could have been. The twist wasn't that exciting

Nearly all of the characters are one-dimensional but very easy to love or hate. The plot started off quite thin but developed into a quite spectacular ending. Weirdly, it could be compared to Crime & Punishment in how it examines how some people do bad things for good reason.

I knew what kind of book it was when I started it. Rob Rinder is as entertaining as an author as he is on the telly. As popular fiction goes, this is very well done. A real page-turner
