Izzy is a Witch who is cursed to die on her 27th birthday and be reborn again. She and the other members of her coven, Helena and Gwen, want nothing more than to break the spell and be able to live their lives.

Grant McTavish is a shifter who meets Izzy at the bar one night and knows that she is his mate. When his pack leader, Lachlan, gives him his next assignment to kill three witches, he realizes that he is supposed to kill Izzy.

Will Grant help Izzy or will his loyalty be to his pack? Can he help Izzy break the spell he is under and will Izzy be able to figure out why her past love, Tristan, keeps finding her?

This was a great book with lots of twists and turns to keep you wondering what is going to happen next.

I loved Izzy and thought she was such a great character! She was smart and was definitely worried when Grant said she was his mate! I loved her loyalty with Helena and Gwen and she was also afraid when she discovered that someone wanted her dead.

Grant was awesome and I loved how protective he was over Izzy and how he needed answers before he just did what he was sent to do. He had his work cut out for him protecting the girls but he knew he was meant to be with Izzy.

There were a few parts where I was worried about what was going to happen but I loved how everything worked out. I hope that we get a book on Helena next as it looks like there are some unanswered things with Tamiel.

This is the first shifter book I've read. The concept of interesting. It is well written and the story moves right along. I've tried others but just couldn't finish them. There are a lot of different types of characters like Gabriel the archangel, fallen angels, witches, and shifters into wolves. It isn't super easy to follow but interesting enough to capture your attention. If you like shifter romance then you'll probably like this story.

A HUGE 5 STARS!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was phenomenal! From beginning to end I was enamored! I didn’t want it to end. I mean, what isn’t there to love about this story!
Where to start...first off, the supernatural elements of the story that Kim Loraine brings to life are stunning. Everything feels so real and life like. The description throughout the story paints a picture and I could see everything so clearly.
Izzy...this women is fire and sass. She is such a strong woman. She knows who she is despite second guessing occasionally along the way. Her love for her witch sisters is powerful and the bond they share unbreakable. And though she tries to contest it, the love and passion she has for Grant can’t be denied.
Grant...my goodness what that man does to me. This strong, possessive, loving and kind alpha male is something to behold. Everything about this man, his strength, his appearance (tattoo, piercing, rippled muscles), his passionate soul.
The connection between Grant and Izzy is fire, it’s all consuming, it’s pure. There was no denying the intense chemistry between the two when they first met in the pub. And over time it only grew stronger and more powerful. The bond they share, mated or not, was fiery and passionate. And whether they could bring themselves to admit it right away or not they could feel their strong love pulling them to one another.
I can’t say enough good things about this book! All I can say is trust me, you want to read this book! Incredible!

I will be completely honest about my rating of this one – it is more of a three-point-five-star read than the three stars I gave it. A part of me did consider rounding up, but in the end I decided to round down. Should I continue with this series, I feel as though the potential for higher ratings is certainly there.

Eternal Desire is the first book in Kim Loraine’s Siren Coven series, and I was instantly sucked in by the synopsis of this one. I love a good paranormal romance, and I went in with high hopes. It wasn’t long before I realised something, though…

Although Eternal Desire is the first book in the Siren Coven series, this book is actually a spin-off from the author’s Fallen Angel trilogy. In some cases, reading spin-off series is perfectly fine – however, with this one I felt as though there were a lot of gaps in my knowledge. Information is given, but it was not enough for me to understand all of the references. Much has been done in regards to world building and events in the Fallen Angel trilogy, and without that knowledge I spent most of the book lost. By the second half of the book, I had a decent understanding – and I think this is why I enjoyed the second half of the book more – but it still wasn’t enough for me to understand everything. I think, therefore, it is best to go and read the Fallen Angel trilogy first.

In fact, I have the first book, Waking the Watcher, on my Kindle already. Having read Eternal Desire, I know Kim Loraine is capable of providing a fun paranormal read – and I will be more inclined to go and start the trilogy now. However, I doubt I will read the next Siren Coven book until I am up to date with the Fallen Angel trilogy. I feel as though it’s an injustice to the author – this is clearly a fun series, I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to because I didn’t understand how heavily it would refence the author’s other work.

That’s my warning over and done with now, and I’ll say some things about the book without referring back to my own personal issue mentioned above.

What I enjoyed about this one was the siren element of the story. Although there are many witch books out there, the siren twist is something you do not see all that often. I enjoyed the way it was mixed in so well with things people already know about the paranormal world. Sitting side-by-side the shifter element, you could easily believe siren stories are something that is done every day – it just went so well.

I also enjoyed the way the story arc grew throughout this one. Things were rather slow at the start of this book, but the second half had a lot more action. Not only was there more action, but twists were thrown in that would clearly come into play in the later books in the series. There’s a lot of great set up for what is to come, and I’m certainly curious to see how everything comes together.

Overall, this was an interesting read – I simply wish I had been able to understand certain elements a bit better.

This book was great! Witches, Shifters, Magic...everything great paranomal. Perfect for this time of year. A curse that has to be broken, true love, a sisterhood. What's not to love?! There were parts I was worried about what was happening, but it all resolved itself perfectly in my opinion. So glad I picked up this author! Can't wait to read more of her work!
