I LOVE Patrick O'Hara! This book, while dealing with some heavy situations, is strong on friendship, family, love, and has a big heart. It's funny. It's sad. It shows growth. It has interesting characters.

Surprisingly deep and tragic, while still being as hilarious as expected.

Well that was a delightful finish. I only wished I finished the last 30 pages in 2022, thinking I had the whole day to read and not the exact time you checked out the digital hold from the library. Oh well.
I loved this book. I loved the children and Patrick. The characters were all so right for each setting. I may not really understand why his brother did that, and I'm not sure I could get over that as a child. But at least the children got to reconnect with their uncle and he got his life back. I also loved that he played, "Hard Candy Christmas" by Dolly Parton, which is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Anyways. The book is heart warming, quick, fun, and you gotta love the Guncle rules.
I could see where maybe the book would be a little too predictable and happy and perfect at the end for some readers, but maybe that's what I need right now.
And the first three books get 5 stars each? Who am I? What have you done with the real Kristi? Is there anybody out there? Nod, if you can hear me.
