The 7th installment in the Flower Shop Mysteries and once again when I got near the end I HAD to finish. All plans for the night went down the toilet while I sat and read the night away. Well worth it too I might add.

In this one Abby finds her old baby sitting charge Elizabeth Blume has come back to town. She charms everyone in Abbey's life and starts to take on Abby's identity. Worse - nobody believe's her when Abby tells them she is up to no good. When Abby finds herself thrown in jail over a case of mistaken identity things start to get serious. Fortunately Abbey has a LOT of experience with unraveling murder mysteries - so we know she will work it out in the end.

I liked this one very much. I liked the tension between Marco and Abby as well as the main plot with Libby taking over Abby's life. It's a horrifying thing to be in that helpless situation and have the people you love turn against you instead of protect you. I think that taps into a pretty basic fear.

Abby Knight is facing one of her worst nightmares....the kid she babysat 10+ years previously is back and town and trying to take over her life. Elizabeth Blume decides to go by Libby, opens a shop called Blume's Art Gallery (Abby's shop is Bloomer's florist shop), dyes her hair red and has the same haircut...you would think they are twins.

Then Libby's mother, Delphi Blume is killed and Abby is suspected and it is up to her to figure out who and why.

This is another good book by Kate Collins. I think the first book I read I wasn't sure, but they books have improved and have been hard to put down.

It was too good to last. There were so many opposing clues strewn in this book that it would either live up to the hype and come up with a great resolution or disappoint. Now that I think of it, the author didn't even bother with a suspect list. If I had to guess who was the murderer, I would have been half right in all probability. As for the break up between Marco and Abby, I found it as tiresome as their smooching offs. That is because even when conflicted the heroine still finds the charm, the golden flecks of his brown eyes etc irresistible. Barf! That's the key and end word.
