Marauders: 4
Pretty much filler until the end, but I love even the filler of this series

Excalibur: 3
I really have no clue how we go to this point, I guess we advanced the plot (finally) but I don’t care about the cliffhanger, starting to lose faith in the series

New Mutants: 4
I think I just like being on a different setting (cough marauders cough) I loved the issue so much fun, from now on I hope we mainly focus on their space adventures

X-Force: 3.5
A really long fight scene that was still entertaining and that finally moved the plot along

Fallen Angels: 1
I literally have no idea what the helll happened on the series, so it’s all just word vomit to me, I’m so happy it ends next volume

X-Men: 3

How are we on issue five and still introducing new stuff, please get a clear direction and plot, that’s a note on all the titles actually

I’m basically reusing a review across this series, as it seems to hold as things go on. Overall it’s a bunch of highs and lows. Some books are consistently excellent (Marauders, X-Force, Wolverine, and it looks like X-Factor & Hellions will join that group) while some are middling to mediocre (Excalibur being the worst of the lot, plus Cable being so-so, and the main X-Men book varying in quality from one issue to the next). I’m still reading, so the overall whole is quality, and the whole setting that they’ve established is still unique and intriguing. It’s like a house of cards that we know is doomed to fall eventually, it’s just a question of when and how)

The first time I read these, I liked the Hickman X-Men best, but this time I’ve moved Marauders up to first place. It’s just such a vibrant book, featuring a great cast who all care for each other.

I think this is the best volume I've read so far. All six segment had stories that were entertaining and kept my interest, even The New Mutants, which has been my least favorite part of the series.

Marauders #5

oooooohhhh. Your art changed. It's all smooth and bright now. I might really like this.
Gooodddddddd. Look at you two adorable, terrible two.

"Blah blah blah kitty blah danger blah blah"
"..... call her Kate."

Oh, Jean. Your girl looks stunning in this art. As does Kate. And like everyone. I just really enjoy the art in this issue. I hope they stay.

askadj;kldjfg Emma calling her Katherine. I love how House/Powers/Dawn gives us both cold, ruthless, tactically professionally smart Emma, and then these deeply tender scenes as well. My heart for this just passed out between them, with the shoutout all the way back to Kitty's intro.

hhhuummmnnaaa Ororo stabbing someone in the eye.

GUH Kate phasing an entire boat through another one.

Excalibur #5

eeeeeeeeee savage land-esque clothes.

Rogue, I love you havin' your dream journey, but that last look is not a good one on you. I am curious what they plan to do with your arc, and with Apoc's plans for you.

-------------------------
New Mutants #5

.... and we're back to that earlier art.

"Space jail, space war, space romance."

Haaaaa, Sam looking so confused when Illyana puts her Captain Pants on and just starts throwing out order right over him. I love you, my love.

Things I appreciate right now.
Sam. Bobby. Illyana. Chamber.

Oh, god, my original tiny blonde violent child is being mouthy and violent and I am here for it.

X-Force #5

Hi, Logan. We're back to that problem with your body again. You really needa see to that stat, love. If not for yourself, then for your people.

Gaaaattteewaaayyyy. Hi, sir.

This commentary on how heavy it is trying to move half of Logan's body, because of the adamantium and the other places my mind takes that.

ɑรรɑรรiɳcɑptɑiɳ
That terrifying thing when Logan can still find the energy and raw rage to kill you while missing the lower half of his body.

Haaa omg.
Forge. Did you just shove the two parts of Logan together like legos and tell him to heal up already.

omg omg omg omg babies.
Earlier story was about Logan saving Dom from captivity, and this one was about her saving him after being ripped apart, and and and then this

I love you, go home to your family.

Followed by the scene where Beast is beating up the attacker in a chair, and Jean is just pulling things out of his head.

Fallen Angels #5
HUUUSSSKK

Oh. My babies. I still have a huge heart on for you.

Omgh, yes. Husk is joining the book. Bringing me more of my people into odd and interesting places.

I love the myrid ways people are coming at the morals and ethical debates of all these changes, across different points and different places in all these titles.
