I have no idea what this book was trying to accomplish.
Was very excited to read it and was unfortunately disappointed. Didn’t love any of the characters, especially the main character, which made it hard to want to root for anyone.
I needed this book. I cannot tell you how much I needed this book. Nandan, his thoughts about his sexuality and not knowing what he wanted...I see myself way too clearly. I needed this book. It was relatable. The self-loathing, the wanting then the not wanting. The thoughts about whether you're doing this because you want it, or because of someone else. The need to not just be a part, but have power. To be a gear that gets everyone going. To be wanted. To be liked, and loved, and known.
I'm so happy to have found this book. I don't know what would've happened if I'd gone longer without reading this. I don't want to know what would've happened if I'd gone on without knowing that's it's okay. It's okay to want and then not want. It's okay to not be sure or change your mind. It's okay to not know, to try new things.
Also, people can see through your bull easier than you might think. That was a lesson I'll take to heart. I try way too hard to be discreet.

I was a little disappointed by this one. The plot seems weak and overdone, and the ending just kind of does not follow what happened earlier. it’s alright, but not great.
Didn’t come back to it, hated it more with time. Unhauling.
DNFed at 44%. Not sure if I’ll come back to it or not. But I just had so much trouble relating to the characters and I didn’t really like any of them, to the point where I started avoiding reading. So yeah. Do not recommend.

i don't think there was a single point when reading this where i genuinely enjoyed it, it seemed very problematic and at some points felt a bit invalidating
