It’s a sucker punch to the gut every time I’ve read it.

It was so beautifully written and you could totally immense yourself in the story, almost feeling like you're the one living through it. The topics it talks about are difficult but important nonetheless and it's done in a way that portrays the seriousness of mental illness and suicide/suicidal ideation really well but even despite this, the end of the book leaves you with some sort of hope that healing is possible and you can in fact find your own way. It was heart wrenching and devastating but has its own beauty after all and I'll definitely read it again.

Sending lots of love to anyone struggling right now, you matter and you're so so strong. You will find your way through this eventually; I believe in you, truly <3

As someone who loves "Looking For Alaska", it felt like the cheap knockoff version. Started slow but did have a good end.

This book was good, but it wasn't amazing.  I don't know, this one is hard because of the meaning and all that stuff behind the book so I felt bad being my harsh self.

I felt like the beginning dragged on way longer than it needed to. I wanted them to like start the project and all that and that aspect alone took like 100 pages... I felt like that should have been more time spent developing the relationship between Violet and Finch. I really enjoyed the relationship that did form between Violet and Finch, even if it wasn't much.

I don't want to say that I didn't like Finch because by no means did I not like him. I just have some thoughts about him. I have a love hate relationship with Finch. I didn't really like him much throughout the book. I felt like a lot of things he did were just so out of pocket. I liked him as we neared the end. After the end thought I fell in love with him.
I know it is hard to fall in love with someone who is already dead but the things he did for violet
I could really relate to Finch with the stuff that he went through. I can even say I have been in an "asleep" stage during my lifetime.

The ending didn't emotionally hit. I guessed what was going to happen in the end. I wanted something that was going to make me bawl my eyes out but I literally didn't shed a single tear. I do have to say that the ending was the best part in my option. I grew to like the character more but that's about it.

This book didn't really meet my expectations, that's why I rated it so low.
