Not the best written fantasy but holds a special place to me as it opened the door to fantasy / romantasy

Wat in de katniss Everdeen met stockholmsyndroom????
Ik ben niet helemaal mee in de hype over dit boek, maar iedereen zegt dat de volgende boeken beter zijn dus goed dat ik hier doorheen ben

I heard that this book would be slow and you have to push through because it gets better but honestly? Not bad at all. Super entertaining and had me hooked at the start even if it was kinda just nothing too much happening
All the drama is packed into the last 100 or so pages (a trend with Maas as I have now learned) but I didn’t hate it. I would bet that this book was meant to be a standalone (although I saw the plot threads for sequels)
I do think that this book has the better world building and vibe/atmosphere compared to the later ones in the series so it will always have a leg up for me in that regard

This is the book series that got me out of my reading slump. Thank you, Sarah J. Maas! Diving into the world of Prythian was nothing short of magical. Feyre's journey from a poor survivor to a fierce heroine in a realm of beauty, danger, and fae politics captivated me from page one. It definitely gave me 'Beauty and the Beast' vibes (which I love), but the last quarter of the book sold me on the storyline and the characters.
What I loved most:
1. The three trials
