The Meltdown

This book is going to the bunker whenever the apocalypse comes.

It's as usual; funny and cute. I love Greg so much I'd date him if he was real (or maybe not. probably not.)

Can't wait for next year to get my book 14. Keep 'em coming, Jeff Kinney.

Writing like this is why I keep reading the Wimpy Kid books:

Well, technically, something grabbed Mr. Morsels. I thought for SURE it was Meckley Mingo and he was gonna KILL me for touching his belt buckle.

I think the theme of this book is when sometimes you try things, you realize that's just not your thing. And that's okay. Greg realizes that being a leader is not his thing. And he is completely fine with that.

Hell yes!!! A typical wimpy kid !(In a good way )😚😚😙😉😉😘

Meltdown was a letdown.
(forgive my poor jokes)

So, I love all of the wimpy kid books. I grew up with them and it's top-notch but this one didn't give me any joy or nostalgia. Either I've grown out of the wimpy kid obsession or this book isn't that great as previous ones.

Review:

This was a very fun one in this series!

Review previously placed on my blog:

I'm currently reading The meltdown by Jeff Kinney. This is the thirteenth book in the Diary of a wimpy kid series. I'm reading a copy from the library for my Series TBR.

This is okay so far. I soft DNF'ed this series last year, but really want to just finish series, so have decided to pick this back up again. I did really enjoy some books in this series, so hope this is going to be one of those.

I really enjoyed this! This one was super fun to read. I also just really enjoy how fast of a read these are. I also think the drawings are very nice and it's just very funny. Great installment in this series and am now more excited to continue on.

Probably one of my favourites in the series.

I can see the attraction, and it is funny in places, but it's not given me anything special. Important issues like a missing pet pig and betrayal by friends are dismissed too easily, even nonchalantly.

I wouldn't have read it if my yr 6 hadn't begged me to read the book in class.
