This was super cute! Donut comes from legendary villains, but wants to be a hero. Her worst villain friend has other ideas. This book spoke about friendships and being yourself! Would give to anyone.

This was a cute story of friendship and staying true to yourself with a superhero twist!

Donut is the daughter of two famous supervillains and is a shoo-in for the local villain academy, but there's one problem: Donuts wants to be a HERO! So she joins the hero school and makes some new friends while being pulled in the direction of villainy by her old one.

This book is SUPER cute. A great story about choosing your own path and finding your people, even if it's not what you are used to. Also the illustrations are precious!! So bright and colorful. A great kids comic.

Ridiculously cute and fun with wonderful illustrations, so glad I picked this one up.

I was kinda feeling sorry for Ivy, right up until the end. I guess sometimes people really aren't misunderstood, they're just toxic assholes.

This seemed like something I would be really into, but I just couldn't get all the way into it. I love the illustration style, and I love heroes/villains/magical schools, etc. It feels like it would really appeal to kids, though, and that's what matters. It had a very real She-ra vibe to it, and I did find the Donut signature with a little donut in it to be quite adorable.

Reminded me of Nimona in the way that “villains” are presented, but definitely aimed at a younger audience. A very adorable look at how the daughter of two villains begins at superhero school. The heroes aren’t necessarily nice or welcoming. But Donut finds her own niche at the new school and it’s a pretty delightful journey.

I found the ARC for this in our break room and I'm so happy I picked it up!! It was incredibly cute and definitely entertaining. Donut was awesome, and I loved her "evil" parents too. Overall, a very fun, quick read.

I really enjoyed this graphic novel as it tacled friendship, being yourself, and being good. With kids, there's always a pressure to feel included, which often overlaps with acting out, and I thought this really tackled this well. I also really enjoyed the support of the villain parents, which was refreshing as middle grade fiction tends to leave them out to focus on the kids or protrays them as bad parents. So even though they were evil, their love for Donut being theirself really stood out to me. The superheo and villains concepts were erally neat and the art style was awesome, reminscient of Gravity Falls and Steven Universe. There's room for spinoff material and I would absolutely read it.
