Aspects of this book hit close to home. Learning to take care of yourself is very important. An absent parent can impact your life but you can change it to be happy and not please the person. Taking your health seriously especially as a health professional is very uncommon but can be done. I also agree that getting your back blown out well can be stress relieving. I'm so happy for these characters.

This was a sweet and slightly steamy read and I enjoyed it. There’s definite chemistry between London and Drew and I loved how they gradually got softer towards each other as their relationship developed. I also really enjoyed the friendship between London, Samiah and Taylor - female friendships are so underrated in romance books and their conversations were so fun to read. I would say that if you’re looking for a real enemies-to-lovers romance, or something that is particularly angsty or slow-burn, you’re not going to find it here as any enmity London has for Drew is very much one-sided and quite quickly lost, and while there is a bit of a crisis towards the end of the book it doesn’t really have any impact on their relationship (and said crisis is kind of brushed over despite how serious its implications are?? Without spoiling anything, the ends seem to be tied up far too quickly and neatly), but if you’re in the market for a wholesome romance with a decent amount of spice and some badass women in STEM representation, definitely check this out.

i loved this book so much. i loved the writing and characters. they didnt feel flat at all. drew and london are perfect for each other. drew is the man of my dreams he has no red flags. i havent read any academic rivals to fwbs to lovers before so this was really great. i loved the ending, as it prioritized londons friendship w taylor and samiah. i liked the third act conflict too because it didnt just focus on an issue between drew and london. it had bigger consequences and affected more than just their relationship, since work is so important to the both of them.

Very spicy to say the least but it seems our main characters were making up for lost time.

Having been covaledictorians and enemies in school , drew had actually admired london from afar but when he realised she didn’t feel the same they were both just as competitive.

She becomes a paeds doctor and him a millionaire hedge fund manager.

After reconnecting at the school reunion, as the title suggests it’s a hookup plan but through this they work through a multitude of issues together from grief, trust issues and health concerns.

Drew’s mom was a domestic abuse victim and this stuck with me being one myself , great representation esp in a romance as it can be both a family and a romantic form of abuse.

I haven't read the other books so I jumped into this one without any background from the previous books. This was a fun read. I like the couple and their relationship progression. I was a bit upset at the beginning of the book when we got a closed door scene and then are told that there was some face sitting. I feel cheated, but we did get some more spicy later in the book. It's been a couple of weeks since I read it and I gotta say that I remember thinking I liked it, but it was not a very memorable book for me. There also seemed to be a lot of loose threads at the end that were never really resolved, like the problem with that other doctor. I did like that the mmc was willing to go wherever the fmc went and there was no asking her to follow him, plus there was no third act break-up, which would have made me angry.

CN: complicated family dynamic, death of parent (off page)

This book was fine, although I didn’t enjoy it as much as previous books in the series. There were elements that felt like they were building up to something that never materialized—Drew’s uncle, London’s health issues, conflict-of-interest issues. I just felt like I was missing some oomph in the relationship.
