Terrible book. Terrible sex scenes. How do people get published? Does anyone read the books before hand?!

I’m a big fan of From Blood and Ash and considering how similar the stories are, I shouldn’t have been surprised by how much I liked this book. Even more than FBAA. Both Issi and Adrian are not typical heros, and do not hesitate to kill multiple people. Issi is a strong, badass woman who had to face many a challenge and did so with her head high. Adrian being so in love and gentle with her rocked me. I loved their story. Based on other reviews I was expecting this to truly be mostly sex, and while there is a lot of that, there is a great plot too. I can’t wait for the next book to see how they handle the witchy threat.

I honestly didn’t think this book was bad, def could have been better and had a bit more detail to really build on the characters backgrounds though. I’m still confused on how the FMC was “reborn” essentially so if anyone had an explanation that would be helpful because the description given didn’t explain it well. Like at all imo. 3.5 stars but I’m definitely still going to read the next one. Spice level was solid as hellllll. That’s what kept me goin honestly

I had a good time reading this!! It was super captivating and I found myself flying through it to see what happened next. I just wish the ending was paced a bit better or the book was a little longer? I’m not sure how to explain it, it just felt rushed and left me with so many questions. Even when some of the biggest plot-points/questions were answered I still felt like they weren’t really answered at all and that they left me with more questions than before. People and alliances just changed so quickly it was difficult for me to keep up and process I suppose.
