pippa has retired from investigating crimes because of how she lost her fucking mind and almost dies trying to prove sal’s innocence in book one lol. but then her cute little friend connor’s older brother jamie goes missing and their mama asks her to help find him. so how could she say no 🥺
in the search for jamie, pip obviously risks her life multiple times and loses her mind once again. the trauma that comes with her detective duties as a teenage girl in high school is lowkey insane but their cops suck so much ass??? like how are u in a small town with 3 cops and y’all can’t do anything? like what are y’all really doing because i know the crime in fairview is not that serious unless pip is on it!
this one was cute because we got more of pip and ravi’s dynamic and banter. we also got more insight to the trauma that the city continues to live with. the ending though…… he deserved so much better and nothing was his fault in my opinion so the ending broke my little heart honestly. and pip my sweet baby 🥺
