Jackson does it again in the sequel to AGGGTM. Pippa once again investigates as her friends older brother goes missing and the police won't investigate. In this new installment Pippa is determined to rescue her friends brother and return him safely. This new book retains all the joy and intrigue of the first while remaining different from the first books story. The only way this is really bad though is because Sal is in this book way less than the first unfortunately. I am so excited to see where Jackson takes the story into the second and accompanying novella.

i didnt love this mystery as much as the first one, and wish that some of the

child brunswick

had been mentioned a bit earlier, so that it gave the reader more time to speculate, but i did feel for pip and liked seeing her relationship with ravi and friendships develop in this book too

OK. How do I even start? Another wild ride as usual. And just like the previous book, it did not take long at all before I was absolutely hooked. definitely a point there. Was not expecting that sad and intense ending, and I am equal parts intrigued and very, very nervous for what the next book has in store for me. The plot was very well planned and thought out as always (thank you Holly Jackson), and the Brunswick part of the story kinda took me off guard, but in a great way, and I love how it tied into the whole story! I did think that Jamie Reynolds' motivations and purpose in the whole thing was a bit ridiculous, but the again, I don't know what goes on thru the minds of 24 year old having an existential crisis, therefore I have no right to judge. I'm just glad he was actually alive and well this time, unlike our first victims.

That's all for now, I had absolute blast as always, and I'm very excited for the finale!!

Noch besser als der erste Teil! Ich fand es interessant zu sehen, wie Pip mit sich selbst hadert. Vor allem gefreut habe ich mich aber, dass der neue Fall unabhängig vom letzten war. Es kamen zwar Charaktere erneut vor und die Ereignisse aus Band 1 spielten teils eine Rolle, aber der Fall an sich hatte nichts mit Andie und Sal zu tun. (Ich finde es immer ziemlich nervig, wenn man nach dem ersten Band einer Reihe das Gefühl hat, es ist alles geklärt, nur damit im zweiten alle Erkenntnisse wieder ausgehebelt werden.) Zwischendurch habe ich tatsächlich Tränen in den Augen gehabt (ob das bei dem Buch normal ist weiß ich nicht, aber was soll's...).
Ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt auf den letzten Band.

Not as good as the first but still pretty fun. Had some good twists, but I didn’t like how mystery ended. Other than that I thought the ending was quite good, well written, at least the ending was.
