3.75/5 on enjoyment
I loved the first book so this had a lot to live up to but damn, it came v close!
Holly Jackson knows how to write a page-turner! Thematically, there was some really interesting things going on. And some incredibly sad, but also realistic developments that pushed Pip in a brutal direction.
Only part for me was the latter part of the mystery of this book fell ever so slightly flat compared to the first novel but still excellent!
(And leagues ahead of the TV adaptation. Jesus Christ…)
