I don't even know why, because I did like this... To a point. But I was just really bored and I was not invested in basically anything. It's honestly probably a good book- maybe I'll be able to come back to it at some point, but I'm too bored to finish at this point.

I really really enjoyed this book! It was such a fun take on Treasure Island and I absolutely loved the way the story tackled expectations and found family. Also the Vietnamese representation in here was really well done! This was so so fun!! I love queer pirates honestly

I LOVED this!

And I love that C.B. Lee used actually history for this remix version of a classic. I also love that this was a queer love story. It gave this story another layer of complexity. This was well written and I enjoyed it.

What a fun read! There's young lesbian love, married gay pirates, found family, love confesions, great plot twist and mouthwatering discriptions of food. Fun retelling filled with real life history. The writing is engaging,the lore beautiful and the love story is sweet and slow. Will read more from this author

Thank you for this wonderful, accessible, Asian, queer remix of Treasure Island. The language was beautiful, the scenes gorgeous, and it sucked me in and didn't let me go.
