Clash of Steel is an epic queer adventure story full of romance, piracy, and family. Overall, this was an enjoyable read. The romance was a sweet slow-burn, the adventure was exciting and action packed, and the characters were thoroughly enjoyable. I did feel that the pacing of the story was off as for the first hundred pages or so it is rather slow. There is significant lead up to the adventure of this story and it could get a bit dull at times. The ending also felt a bit lacklustre to me but the characters and storyline make up for it. This was a great read that I would recommend to anyone looking for an adventure.

This has easily landed itself a spot on my all time favorites shelf, the characters were all so unique and easily distinguishable, the plot was so well-crafted and the writing was absolutely beautiful to read. Apologies to anyone I know because this  book is all I’m going to be talking about for the next week.

DID NOT FINISH: 43%

I genuinely believe I couldn't finish this book because I'm not the target audience. I love the world, and the characters are wonderful. I still read YA but have been finding myself enjoying it less and less. I don't think the book is bad or boring; I genuinely believe it's because I'm not who the book was written for.
