You can really tell that the author loves books, but I felt that she didn't really go deep enough in her discussion and more often than not her discussion was only tangentially connected to the time periods/dates of the letters.

This book is written in the forms of letters from the author to her father.
The letters take place from 2019 till present day, and she, an ranian immigrant in the US, talks to her father who is in Iran about all the political and social events of the last 3 years that are shaping both countries.
She discusses these events with comparison and analogies with great works of literature that have also shaped her views of the world.
This book is full of opinions backed up by facts but it's not trying to convince us or change us, but inform us and asks us to think critically of these topics.
What a great book full of wisdom and light.
