Well, it was definitely better than True Believer.
I really liked this book when I read it for the first time at 18, and now on the re-read it just doesn’t hold up for me. Though it had a more interesting plot line than True Believer.
I will say though, do love the “I love you more than there are fish in the sea and higher than the moon” quote.

1) I thought I knew who dun it last night, but I was wrong with my first guess, but slowly worked my way to the answer right before the big reveal.
2) I was not expecting the book to take that kind of turn. Yet I'm glad the story of Jeremy and Lexi came full circle.
Overall, I liked this book and enjoyed the flow of the story. The ending was not nice, although I don't think anyone reading a Nicholas Sparks novel expects a nice ending. Something sad usually happens... its the formula. I think this was the last Sparks novel I had to read with the exception of his two newest books (which I'm not sure if I will read).

Trite. Stupid. Lexie is a nagging, spoiled, selfish woman. Nicholas Sparks really knows how to define the "ball and chain"
