Uncle Rick just never misses. Nordic mythology is clearly even more bonkers than Greek Roman and Egyptian and I really liked how it makes everything like a joke somewhat. I love Magnus and Annabeth bonding it's what they deserve!!!

The YA writing is a little tough at times but I really loved this book.
The quest is a good plot structure and the characters are all fun.

Good way to learn some stuff about the Norse Gods and I like Riordans approach to using mythology as a catalyst for his books

I'm now going to reread Percy Jackson which should be a treat :)

1)i love jack,otis and sam
2)uncle rick did not disappoint with the chapter titles. humor is top-notch
3)the tragic backstory stuff is kinda overdone.
4)the i-hate-rich-people and the feel-bad-for-me is strong in this one."Doctor Who. (So I’m a nerd. Sue me.)" babe, thats one of the most popular and longest running shows."Yes, I like to read. I’m weird that way."it's giving y/n.
5)i love how it shades the mcu's potrayal of thor and then proceeds to turn the norse gods into a joke(but hey, at least disney is self aware)
6)there is no way that the amount of falafel this guy eats is even remotely healthy. how tf didn't he die from a heart attack already.
Spoiler
7)mc dies in page 40.
8)"instead of helping, one idiot held up his smartphone and tried to film the destruction." realism.

this originally put me in the slump to end all slumps. to the point where i had to reread it in its entirety to make myself give a shit again. but then i did and it wasn’t so bad. read the first half, the part i had read previously, in about two days. read the back half in one. wasn’t remarkable or world changing nor was it completely horrendous. mid. and kinda less fun than the rest of the percy jackson universe, for the most part.
