Wow. Just... wow. I was immediately pulled into this story. I wasn't sure where the author was taking me but I was happy to go along.
This is a fairly short book but it packed a big punch for me. I did feel like it dragged a bit in the middle but I listened to the final chapter twice because I wasn't quite ready to be finished.
Very satisfying. I nearly forgot to mention how much I enjoyed the author's writing style and language choices. And the narrator was fab! I can definitely see myself reading The Harpy again.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the audiobook!

I short novel that I enjoyed, and can easily be knocked out in an afternoon. The concept is intriguing and the execution is delivered. I loved how I was just as surprised to see what each "punishment" would be. This book is written in easy, quick flowing prose and I found myself always wanting to read just one more chapter. A short and sweet thriller, although the ending does leave a little to be desired. An engrossing story of life that keeps going, despite when you would hope for a little time to slow down.

The Harpy follows Lucy who lives in a small town in England with her husband and two sons. Lucy finds out through a coworker that her husband is having an affair. She confronts her husband and they collaborate on a "revenge" plan in order to make it even.
I absolutely adore this cover and being the Greek and Roman mythology nerd that I am was so excited to read a book about a woman who identifies as a harpy, a mythical female agent of punishment who abducts people and tortures them. The story was mostly beautiful, but at times I felt like it was overdone and flowery. The delivery fell a little flat for me towards the end, but definitely worth the read!
