I didn’t read book 1 & 2, just watched the show but I had to read book 3 before season 3 came out next month. Although most of the plot is SO unreasonable and dumb, I read it so quickly and enjoyed the moments with Conrad #teamConrad

There are some beautiful moments here - like Laurel, despite her misgivings, showing up at the shower. But overall I felt disappointed with the arcs for almost every character. We never get to see the healthy romantic relationships; those are always off-page. Jeremiah is so senselessly pushed in a direction here to be SO different to Conrad (literally instead of the aware, friendly brother he's now the cheating frat boy who doesn't know how to cook or clean with bad credit) when I think the actual point is that they'll always be from the same family/past. The ending was too abrupt.
