Johanna Lindsey

“Surely there is something you could like about him? He is very easy on the eyes, with such a handsome face. His teeth are not rotted, his breath not foul. ”

I love historical Romance so much but once in a while I come face to face about the realities of life during those time.

This book was okay. Not great and not awful. It held my attention.

Johanna Lindsey was my go-to-girl back in high school when I still read romances. I gave up reading romance a long time ago, mostly because I felt embarrassed buying them (I know, it's stupid and I'm trying to get over that). But I do keep up with Lindsey, but either I never read this one, or I just completely forgot it, so I picked it up at the library yesterday when I was looking for her latest Malory novel.

Not a huge fan of this novel as I found the heroine very annoying. Wulfric was hot enough, and of course Melisant eventually grows up a bit, but not my favorite Lindsey novel by a long shot.

Did not enjoy.
