We have finally reached the big moment of whether kakeru will commit suicide or not and still despite everything he was so close to doing it. I think this is honestly very realistic as like despite so many good things having come into your life and knowing you can perhaps rely on this group of friends you still feel terrible and feel like what you have done is unforgiveable
Also suwa. The love of my life in this book. Like i love how he knows my girlie is going through it at the festival and if he just confessed now maybe everything would change but no. He did not do that because of how he doesn't want to ruin whatever is happening between her and kakeru like damn man.
While i do have some problems with this manga volume like why not they just accompany kakeru to the hospital to see his grandmother or go to his house but i still really think this was my favourite overall and i really just love this series so much

This review is for the whole series!!
It's been almost 10 years since I first read Orange and I'll admit I didn't remember much of it. The main plot, of course, I remember it but honestly, everything else was a blur. This helped me experience most of it as if I'm reading it for the first time and I wasn't ready for this. I got to know the characters all over again and their incredible friendship. They are just so precious together.
I knew the plot, I knew how it ends, so tell me why I still cried my eyes out??? I was so emotionally invested in the story. Specific little things made my heart ache.
In the main story (volumes 1 to 5) we mainly follow Naho, she's the one telling most of the story, yet I didn't feel that strongly for her or Kakeru. The character that made me ache the most was Suwa. He's so sweet and kind, so selfless. He goes through so much pain on his own. Volumes 1 to 5 broke my heart but the 6th volume finished me. Suwa deserves better, in every universe. The 7th volume wasn't as good as the rest but it was still nice to see the different POVs and even Kakeru's son.
Overall, Orange is full of laughter and joy, but also pain and sorrow. It's an emotional rollercoaster and I'll forever love and recommend it <3
