In this book, Cam, Alexei and Saint are working to understand and settle into the dynamics of their relationship every bit as much as those around them are – the one thing they all know is that it just works. The Rebel Kings Motorcycle Club isn’t out of the woods just yet, having drawn out enemies thought long gone when the president of the rival Crows MC’s death left a power-void backfilled by birthright. Revenge plots are in motion, and the still-recovering Rebel Kings have to pull double-duty to stay a step ahead of their enemies and ensure their turf remains unchallenged.

I’m genuinely struggling to write out any intelligent thoughts or opinions about this story, because I don’t really have any. I even acknowledge that I spent my review on the first book talking more about a completely separate book than the book I was reviewing. The truth is, both of these books have been more of a spiritual experience than anything else; just an absolute rush of I-don’t-even-know-what-name-to-put-to-this-feeling rushing over me and wrapping me up tight. Cam, Alexei and Saint are just so intense together in any combination, and I want to inject that goodness straight into my bloodstream.

And I just don’t know what more there is to be said. This book was a necessary compliment to the first in order to round out the relationship between the three main characters, and to help wrap up the ends left loose regarding the club politics. I haven’t entirely decided if I want to keep going on the series or not, although I am certainly open to doing so at this point. The other members of the club are all beautifully individual, with their own stories set up and ready to go, but none of them particularly call out to me the way that Cam, Alexei, and Saint do. We’ll see!

This book has representation for gays, bisexuals, and polyamorous pairings. It's implied (but not confirmed) that Saint is not neurotypical. There is little else in the way of diversity.

The following elaborates on my content warnings. These may be interpreted as spoilers, but I do not go into deep detail.
This book contains:
blood, injuries (bullet wound, slashes, scrapes, bruises, stabbings), deaths; alcohol use; homophobia; brawling/fighting; deaths of parents, past and recent (off-page); drug use; past self harm (dubious suicide attempt); past child abandonment, implied past attempted murder of a child; trafficking (drug, human, sex); implied PTSD; weapon use (hammer, machete, guns, fists, bats, blades, chains, pipes, brass knuckles); vomiting; explosions, arson/fire; and, smoke inhalation injuries, medical trauma.

This is the continuation of Saint's, Alexei's and Cam's story. I had to get back into the plot after a longer break but I was entertained overall.
All three men have their own puzzle piece to bring into their relationship which was nice to witness.
