emotional lighthearted mysterious medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Loveable characters? Yes

Perfect light hearted magical romance to pass the time with. Super simple plot but I enjoyed the twists that came with it.
Dru reminds me of Debbie Reynolds in Halloweentown and a hint of Golden Girls (probably due to the references) and let's not mention a nice bit of steam between Ben and Reggie

Thoughts in no particular order:
- This reads like Rey-lo fan fic.
- The world building was great and I loved the premise.
- The spice scenes were cringe, if I never have to see the word ‘tongue’ used as a verb again, I’d be great.
- Will I be reading the second one, 1000% absolutely.
