This wasn’t BAD and some of it was funny but I just. Didn’t care. Probably made worse by knowing I’m Meant To and maybe it would’ve been totally formative if I’d read it when I was like thirteen but unfortunately… will not bother with the rest of them. Fuming I spent an audible credit on a book that was only five hours long in the first place nevermind one I didn’t even enjoy

My mind is still reeling, and it’s 3am, so I’ll save thoughtful, detailed reviews for the later installments in this series (which I’m so excited to read).

For now I’ll just say that this book is magnificent: hilarious, inventive, complex, fast-paced, and philosophically rich by way of the exact absurdism that makes it’s so funny, moving, and intelligent.

What a genius little work—and I don’t even like sci-fi or often read comedy. Truly genius…or, to describe it less dramatically, ingenious!
