King of Wrath was my first Ana Huang read.

"Why was peace so much harder than war?"

I am not a HUGE contemporary romance reader, but I do occasionally find them to be refreshing. A little palate cleanser. In saying this, I knew what I was in for when I picked this book up, and to my surprise, I actually enjoyed it. I am a sucker for a headstrong, hulking idiot of a man who thinks that they are impenetrable emotionally.

In the classic case of Dante and Vivian, the woman breaks down a burley of a man, while the man helps the woman gain confidence. Ying and Yang.

"I almost asked if the pun was on purpose before I remembered his sense of humor was more underdeveloped than a toddler's vocabulary." - HILARIOUS VIV

King of Wrath was an easy, quick read. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers friction. The angst and tension made this read incredibly enjoyable. The steamy intimacy scenes were appropriately placed and were not overbearing; it allowed room for the overall story.

Shout out to Isabella & Sloane for being the filler personalities that this book needed.

My first Ana Huang and such a good read.
I devoured this book and read it in a day!
This is an arranged marriage (with blackmail) enemies to lovers Billionaire CEO romance. There are slightly morally grey undertones with a smidge of violence.
I really enjoyed the character development and getting to understand their background to why they are who they are. Dante is the grumpiest Italian CEO with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He is incredibly particular and instantly hates Vivian who he is forced into an arranged engagement with by her father.
A lot of this story deals with Dante and Vivian slow burn romance but also Dante’s vendetta against her father.
I loved the complexity of this story and the growth we see in both characters, and lots of world development.
The spice is delicious, and tension filled but doesn’t take over the story.
I will going straight on to the next in the series.

Meh... I read King of Wrath quickly and was invested, but I'm not clamoring for the next book in the series. For one thing, I think Dark Romance just isn't for me. When characters say/do things that give me the ick (like saying "you're mine" over and over again), I can't get past it to like the character. That might just be me!
