A classic morally grey love interest and arranged marriage trope. Good amount of spice but I found Dante hard to like.

I really liked this book! I thought it was pretty well written. The relationship is a bit ‘hot and cold’ but I understood that as purposeful on the authors part and the development of their relationship rather than a writing issue (it was discussed multiple times by the characters) while the ending did feel a bit clunky, I overall really enjoyed the characters (everything they did felt motivated and authentic, and their POVs felt like two different people) and their story. I liked the message about relationships Huang was portraying as well. if you take this book for what it is meant to be, it’s a great time. was also a fantastic airplane read
