I only borrowed the second book to see where the story went. I'm clearly not the demographic for this book, but at least the tale was going somewhere in the first. This seems to have devolved into a sex fest and the storyline all but disappeared... definitely not going to be reading the third.

I did not like the writing in this, I really didn’t like the way the author made their inner animal like a separate entity with its own agenda with no regards to the mc, I also didn’t like the insults, they were lame and what a 16 year old would think is a sick burn

To start, I did enjoy the story and can't wait to see what will happen in the next book, but I didn't enjoy A Throne of Ruin as much as I enjoyed Ruin of Roses. Don't get me wrong, the smut was on point, and I love the tension and romance between Nyfain and Finley, but I just felt that the story was quite slow paced and that there was a lot of filler throughout the book.

“Knowledge is power, but sometimes a heart must break to wield it.” 🖤🥀
Finley & Nyfain are back and hotter than freaking ever. When I say the spice in this book was off the charts — omg this one was 🌶🔥
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5
🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 — SCARY spice level 😂 (IYKYK!)
