Better

Much better then the first. I'm still confused on whether this is modern fantasy or just fantasy, as everyone wears t-shirts and jeans but fights with swords and daggers, but that's okay. Finley has gotten a little less try-hard and Nyfain has been a lot more honest. It'll be interesting to see how things progress.

The spice was amazing. The plot not so much and somehow even more cringy than book one.

Better than book 1 for sure.

So again the smut is high. It had some of the longest steamy scenes I have ever read. I mean pages and pages folks. Lmao I honestly skipped through some of it because I just didn’t need them to be that long.

Finley- she’s a character. I love that she’s both brains and brawn. She’s a survivor and gets shit done. But there were some times I was like why are we being so dense friend? I also am not a fan of her rudeness like I get it you aren’t nurturing but also doesn’t mean you need to be a jerk. Also Why are we being so self-deprecating at times? Idk it didn’t match with her total persona.

Nyfain- I love a “touch her or you’ll die” love interest. He’s definitely that. Smart thinking in the end. I’m glad he also encourages Finley.

I’m curious to see with the next book how being away from each other will lessen the smut and maybe increase the plot? Im not against smut I just like when there’s a good balance.
