This didnt start how i expected… i expected the MFC to run off into the wood to kick some ass take some names and save her man! but it was a little more lighthearted than that and the letters were so cute, i chuckled a little “dear dickhead” haha
I loved how they were also bookworms and wanted to act out sexy smut scenes from books they had readdangerously fucking on a horse haha “death while fucking. Dick of death.”
It kinda dragged on a bit, and finally hit the major plot point that will actually move the story forward at the very end...

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! I thought the first one was just okay, this book really kicked it up a notch! There was something so unique and beautiful about the male main character actually trusting the female to get things done! The author did such a great job of balancing the male character being protective as well as knowing the female could take care of herself. It was empowering and so sweet.
On the flip side of that I did feel like Nyfain gave a little too much power to Finley. He was willing to just sit there and let her take the lead. Which was nice, but I wish it felt more even between the two of them. Nyfain just seemed willing to die and let Finley lead. That seemed like his end game.

Atention: Do not pick up this book if you like boredom, vanilla relationships, and "wham, bam, thank you Mam" sex. Just walk on!
With some of the best dialogues and monologues I've ever read, this book is a breath of fresh air.
I laughed, I cried, Hadriel came into more scenes and I laughed some more.
"(...) I wiped away a tear, laughing.
He patted me. “It’ll all work out in the end,” he said softly. “I have faith in that. The prince has been playing hero, keeping the kingdom cranking, waiting for you. Now you will take over for a spell. When you two come together again, it’ll be explosive.”
“How are we going to come together again if I’m carted off to the demon kingdom?”
“I have no fucking idea, my darling. Not a clue. But you must, or we’ll all perish. No pressure.”
“Fantastic. Great pep talk, as ever,” I said dryly.
“I know, I know, I should stick to screaming.”
The sex scenes were very good, and I'm all for a Finley and Nyfain happy, mate bonding, dragon shape shifting, ending!

In the second book we dive more into the characters and their relationships. I felt like this one had more character development then the last. Very quick read and very enjoyable.
