I wanted to read this due to watching the TV adaptation first and being hooked. Unfortunately I just didn’t connect to it on the same level whilst reading the book, although I can’t pinpoint why. It took me a lot of putting this book down and picking it up months later to actually finish it. I wonder if I hadn’t watched the show first, and the plot was more of a mystery, whether I would have found it more gripping. Not something I will re-read but did enjoy.

I want to give this book a bad review, but why, just because the ending made me cringe? The book was fantastic! It kept me really engaged and I NEEDED to know all their secrets! This book deserves 4 stars maybe even 4.25!  I was fooled the whole book and then that ending 🤯. I did not see it coming. 

I wouldn’t recommend this book to everyone, but if you enjoy psychological thrillers this is a book for you.

This book was a whirlwind read, enthralling and addictive like the characters that are within, but shocking and completely mind-boggling. After finishing the book I can now attest to the claim on the front cover of the "the most shocking ending you'll read all year". You will definitely deduce what the ending will be, but only from piecing together pieces of the puzzle placed throughout the story, right from the beginning. This is, if you're paying attention.

It was an interesting plot and I enjoyed listening to the audible, but it was just too slow for my liking. There was not a whole lot of excitement or thrills throughout the book

Absolutely loved the beginning of this book! I had no idea where the story was going but I was enjoying it and the characters. 

Once I started to get the little hints of supernatural I was a little put off but I am glad I continued. I guessed some parts of the ending, but that last chapter of the book blew my mind! I do think many people will be disappointed by the ending as there were no real clues until right beforehand.
