Definitely a great choice for anyone who wished the Vulcans from Star Trek were sexier. This was so fun. When
chloe and kier hooked up at only 25%
, I knew they were just going to be deliciously stupid and I loved every second of it. There were several obvious typos that could have been caught that took me out of reading flow a couple times.

I have always been a Trekkie and oh my god this book was the book I was looking for. It’s that perfect Spock-Chapel ship that I craved with strange new worlds and I just love it. I loved how it had a SicFi aspect to it and how it was a major part of the book, it wasn’t just a hey we’re are on a space ship. I just loved it. Also they were adorable K was the sweetest thing ever. Really bringing out that Spock mentality and I was here for it.

❤️ “You are the other half of my soul. Best friend, lover, soul mate. You are my priash.”
~~~
Chloe is amazing! She’s nice, kind, observant, open and direct. As a nurse, she’s so empathic, caring, understanding and compassionate. And she’s quite the creative and brilliant virologist. Even more, I loved her feistiness and her playfulness. Chloe is a wonderful woman and I loved her so, so much!
And Kier’Ahn of the House of ‘Ahn is one phenomenal male! He’s grumpy, not very social, relies mostly on logic and is extremely good at masking his emotion. But that is all because, being half-Atavarian and half-Human, Kier has always been labeled “different” and “unacceptable” by the Atavarians. But there is so much more to him than meets the eye. Because Kier is also kind, honest, compassionate, smart, charming and funny in his own way. But he is also plagued by guilt and nightmares of everything that has happened in his childhood. Nevertheless, Kier is one incredible male and I couldn’t help but adore everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Chloe and Kier! They met on the starship Intrepid and for years they’ve been colleagues and best friends. And Chloe’s been secretly lusting after Kier. I loved that she was so supportive and understanding of his nature and that she was respectful of his boundaries. Even more, I loved that Kier could be honest and vulnerable with her and trust her with being himself and be accepted without being judged. And Kier, for a male who does his best to suppress his emotions and struggles to find balance between his logical Atavarian side and his emotional Human side, truly makes an effort to understand Chloe’s feelings and actions. I just loved those two together! I loved their banters, teasings, and the constant push and pull. And, ohhh, that tension, especially after Kier goes into an Atavarian rut! Let me tell you, Kier in a rut is just - HOT DAYUM! - primal, demanding, possessive, wild, intense and absolutely panty-melting.
Chloe and Kier were also an awesome team when they were sent on a mission to Atavar to help in the creation of a vaccine for a virus spreading among the population, to try to soothe the anti-Human sentiments amongst the Atavarians, and to prevent an intergalactic war. Did I mention there’s only one bed on their ship? Furthermore, Kier also needed to face his past. And to make things even more complicated, they needed to pose as mates and go through the Atavarian wedding rituals. And both did spectacularly! I loved how supportive and protective they were of one another and how both truly cared for each other’s well-being.
And when they couldn’t resist the constantly growing need for one another, the passionate moments they shared were off-the-charts hot and I couldn’t get enough of all the naughty, bitey and knotty delight! And with their mind bond, things got even hotter!
Chloe and Kier definitely had their ups and downs but everything worked out well in the end. They were absolutely perfect for each other and, after everything they went through, they more than deserved to find happiness, acceptance and love together.
In addition, the worldbuilding was outstanding! I loved that we got to meet so many aliens. And I loved the crew of the Intrepid and Kier’s sister. Even more, we get to learn so much about the Atavarians and there is so much happening on Atavar. With all the suspense, the unexpected discoveries and turns of events, I was glued to the pages till the very end!
Overall, the story is a remarkable start of the series! It’s filled with suspense, danger, adventure, action, twists, drama, betrayals, humor, blazing hot passion and phenomenal characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every page of it!
And, with that epilogue, I cannot wait to see what happens next!
