This is the first book in the Their Precious Omega series. While the books in this series are standalones (focused on one FMC per book) they are best read sequentially due to the societal events that occur in the first book. There are numerous very dark elements to this story so please read the trigger warnings.

The Lovely: I loved the characters, how the relationships developed and the emotional growth and maturity in the story. The alpha’s are sweet, but not in a gross, over the top way that is cringy. You can feel their struggles as they try to figure out how to help the FMC and you can feel her fear at being around alphas. I enjoyed the emotional feels and the kind of suspenseful mystery underlying the plot.

The Mundane: While I enjoyed the above the book still felt too long for the story told - like it was being drawn out. Many scenes included extraneous details that slowed down the pace and had me wanting to skip whole pages of non-dialogue narration.

Recommendation: I saw this series recommended based on another series I read (and enjoyed), and as an angsty hurt/comfort. While it definitely delivered on the hurt/comfort, I didn’t find it terribly angsty (although I have a high bar maybe). If you’re looking for an omegaverse romance with sweet alphas and all the hurt/comfort and healing vibes, this is the book for you.
