This gave me Pretty Little Liar feels and kept me on my toes the whole time! The twists were great, the writing was smooth; it was all-around enjoyable. Well done! Virginia Trench will be on my radar for any future publications from here on out.

Thank you to netgalley for the ARC. Our secrets were safe took me a while to get into. There were numerous characters to keep track of, many of whom didn't feel particularly important or relevant to the plot. I didn't like or feel attached to any of the main characters. The frequent shifts in perspective and time skips between chapters made the storytelling feel disjointed and, at times, confusing. However, the story began to pick up around the 70% mark, and it finally started to capture my interest until the end. I didn't see the twist at the end coming, which was a pleasant surprise.

Take a Dramamine before you read this book as you will have motion sickness from not only all of the POV changes, but also all the back and forth going from “Then” to “Now”! However, I did like all the characters (as well as the ones I was not supposed to like). 3 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️!
