This book was good. Like, intensely good. It was well-written and enjoyable. It was fast-paced and AWESOME. I really liked the twists and turns, though they were slightly expected. I loved the characters.
I did not like the incredibly sexual circumstances from the beginning. The first 100 pages were just out of control disturbing. I was like, "Whoa nelly," and almost stopped. I'm glad I pulled through, but it was a rough start.

Liars, Inc.
I really enjoyed this! The twists and reveals were well planned out and I was super endeared by Max and Parvati

So many dumb choices just to make the story happen. It was annoying. I feel kind of apathetic about this one. It was okay, but fairly predictable and I probably wouldn't recommend it to friends.

Boring. I skipped right to the end to find out what happened and it was surprising bit not enough to make up for the middle

I bought this book mostly for the cover and also because the description was intriguing. When I started reading, I described it as a mix of Charlie Bartlett and Disappeared. And it is, at the beginning. But it becomes so much more than that. Max, the main character, is "entirely made of flaws, stitched together with good intentions" and makes some pretty dumb decisions because of it. But I loved him. And I believed him. Parvati was on a journey to become more than a human and her ferocity and recklessness and growth were incredible. And the story. My god. I'm not one to try to figure out what's going to happen next too much, I rarely correctly predict a story's plot but I think even if I had tried I never would have figured it out until Stokes wanted me to. This book was a psychological thriller of the best kind, with an honest realm of what it means to be a teenager trying to navigate the ropes of love and what it means in all of its various forms. Incredible.

I liked this book for a few reasons: that it was a standalone (which is so hard to find lately), male perspective (good for those few reluctant older readers), and the action throughout.
But warning! This book is for a more mature audience. There is sex and mature language and would be a good independent read for students in high school--NOT middle school. Characterization, plot structure, compare and contrast, and point of view are all applicable if this book was to be (possibly) discussed in a high-school setting.

What a great book (though it's kinda funny that I read it on Valentine's Day!) and I really enjoyed the parts that were told, and how it all came together! Really great book!

A good mystery with a likeable protagonist. There were a few bumps, but it's very fun and twisty. Kind of a Cruel Intentions murder mystery mash up.

I read it in less than 24 hours. So I have to believe it was pretty good. It was likable. A few things were kinda cheesy, but I liked the characters and the themes.
