I picked up this book after watching a booktuber talk about it. Before this book I never heard of this person.
The book had a very hooky first chapter and it pulled me in. While reading the book I did get the sense that Frank and Flynn was the same person. I also got the sense that he was in some type of psych ward especially after he talked about Ann giving him “multivitamins” on a daily basis. And sure enough I was right.
The book did have a lot of ebbs and flows. Overall I thought it was a good book especially from a rapper and for it being a debut novel.

i accidentally bought this book thinking it was something else, then thought i'd give it a try anyway.
the writing of this is awful. my favorite dialogue was:
girl: lets go buy combat boots
boy: what why
girl: so we can kick the worlds ass together
it tried way too hard and still failed. the reason why it gets 2 stars was because the transition from part 1 to part 2 was actually pretty compelling, i liked the reveal of the twist even if i saw it coming.

The second part is what took it from 2 to 3 stars - it was difficult to get past how amateur his writing is. But I made a conscious effort to focus on the story he was telling and it was actually quite interesting. Some of the twists I saw coming but not all of them. I am glad I held on and finished it.

This book was terribly written and I couldn’t finish it
This book feels like a high schooler wrote it. it tries so hard to be hip and unique and full of twists, but falls short in every category. Maybe Logic should stay out of the book business.
