it was cool and all i didn't exactly get bored but the plot twists that were supposed to give the story weight and make it interesting were extremely predictable so yeah 3 stars
This was an interesting rollercoaster for me. On the one hand, I found it pretty interesting, despite the transparency of the plot ("twists" is a VERY generous term, they were pretty thinly veiled, and predictable from the start) and the truly horrendous dialogue. I've seen some reviews talk about how nice it was to have the current slang thrown in, but that coupled with the blatant product placement and on the nose pop culture references felt a lot more like pandering to me. As someone with rampant mental health issues myself, I feel like I gave it a lot more leniency in my opinion throughout, and I did manage to finish it, but the climax of the book is pretty disappointing, and you have to be in some sort of fugue to not see the reveals coming from a mile away.

It was slow and all over the place in the beginning, part two is the only reason its a 3 star instead of a two
DNF.
I really tried to to get through this one but I wasn't feeling the story and honestly, Logic's writing style is like what he's known for - rapping. While the thoughts were at time deep, this book was just all over the place and was incoherent. The narrator would be discussing one thing, leading to another, then another like thought inception with no rhyme or reason. I really wanted to enjoy this book but I'm sorry Logic, you should stick to song writing.
