They talk more than they do anything, i forgot most of the events in the story but i do remember that i was so attached to the first few chapters, it was amazing i loved the story in the beginning but was kind of disappointed when they started talking a lot

This was recommended to me and I figured I'd give it a try. It was a good start to the series.

DNF @ 19%.
I can't get into this. I've been trying for a few days but its just not entertaining me. I think this is too YA for me.

3 very solid stars. It's fun when you come across a book that you got for cheaps that you actually like.

The goods? It fits the criteria: hot girl, hot guy, even hotter ethereal guy. Evie's not what she seems to be at first and she grows into a more powerful, although not quite mature, role. The side characters, Buns, Brownie and Freddie are hilarious. Of course there's the evil doers and an awesome twist at the end. You think one pair are soul-mates, but it'd be such a disappointment if they got together. And as much as I want to hate love triangles, I love love triangles.

The not so goods? It fits the criteria and I didn't feel like it brought much else. I don't think Evie is very awesome, more like vanilla (not naughty kind, this is YA)

To me, there's a similar vibe to Hush Hush and Twilight. Overall, I liked it and would want to see how it plays out.

Things wrong in this book
- Shit love triangle (Russell - Evie - Reed)
- It's an angel book but sold as a book where a girl gets premonitions and doesn't know why. Like if I knew I would not have spent the $4 for this book. False advertisement is an epidemic that's affecting millions of people. Please be careful out there.
- Instalove between Evie and Reed
- Instalove between Evie and Russell
- Reed is all controlling and its arguable that he is emotionally abusive towards Evie.
- Russell is a straight up fuck boy. He's the type of boy who would leak your nudes and tell everyone your personal business. EVIE! DROP HIM LIKE A HOT TAMALE! HE AINT THE ONE
- This book does not age well. Like who 'programs' there number into someones phone. Like who texts like "EG Red! That's epic meet u @ the field 2nite. UR 2G2BT"??? Like what does that even say??
- RUSSELL PUT HIS HANDS ON EMMA. HE BRUISED HER FACE FROM HOLDING HER CHIN TOO HARD. NAHHH BYE BOYYYYYY
-
SpoilerWhy did you make Russell an angel? He doesn't deserve such absolution. Let him be.

Yeah this book is trash. I was going to dnf but I'm stubborn.
Yeah I won't be continuing with the series.

This really pulled me in!

This book did not turn out the way I expected but I'm not surprised. Ms. Bartol always finds a way to throw me off when I think I have the mystery solved. Evie was cute and I liked her character. I loved Russel and was indifferent about Reed. Even tho she's drawn to him, I preferred Russel. Either way, this story was exciting and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved it

Having read the Kricket series before and loving it, made me want to try this series out. And I was definitely not disappointed. I couldn't find anything to dislike about this book. On the next book!

Eh ... glad I'm done. Had to push to finish. The present tense was really grating here. And the adverbs! Oh, the adverbs. I think I noticed them most around how people said something. I say dryly. He says wryly. She says sardonically ... swiftly, shamelessly, softly, stoically, soothingly, suspiciously, inquiringly, knowingly, sweetly, patronizingly, breathlessly, broodingly, cryptically, calmly, coyly, conversationally, blithely, cunningly, incredulously, evasively, evenly, passionately, sarcastically, soberly, shakily, doubtfully, gravely, grimly, heavily, tentatively, vehemently, tightly, unhappily, reluctantly, argumentatively, uncertainly, worriedly, contemplatively. I was listening to the audio edition, and these are just some I wrote down while listening for a little bit. It's not normal is it? An author telling us, instead of making us feel it?

It felt Twilight-ish, as many other reviewers have noted. New girl at the school. Instant dislike, no ... attraction. He is an angel(instead of a vampire). Love triangle. Soulmates. I just couldn't really get into the story. AVOID THE 7-11! I really wasn't surprised at the twist/badguy.

Definitely not reading the sequels ... Got the Kindle Copy for free at one point. Got the audible during a free trial of Audible Escape. Wasn't impressed with the "this is the end of disk 1" ... seems like that should have been edited out.
