Salem and Arrow!!! This was different . I’m all for the angst and slow burns in book ; usually comprising of the enemies-to-lovers or forbidden trope. But this was different and I very much enjoyed it!! Like it was thickkkk the book I mean . I finished it pretty quickly coz the book was just such page-turner!! How Salem ended up with the sweetheart she’s always loved and how Arrow found his true love and meaning with his sweetheart!!!

This was such a beautiful story. One that couldn't have been written any better, any purer. It's not often that I identify with characters who are seemingly, nothing like me. But there was so much depth to Arrow. His arc was difficult for me to read, having grown up with a perfectionist and overbearing mother myself, but I couldn't help but love his transitional mindset throughout the book. Once he identified his issues, he handled them in such a healthy and mature way,and I applaud Saffron Kent for making him so relatable, and for tackling his emotions with such honesty.
Loving Arrow's character doesn't detract from the adoration I feel for Salem. Having to navigate being the flawed individual in a home where she was surrounded by so much perfection, her viewpoint was a bit sad for me. Desperate and lonely, but sweet in her innocence. I loved that she was written as having a pure heart, and when she described Arrow's happiness as her happiness..oh my goodness,it just floored me. Such a pure and unadulterated love isn't often depicted so well in young characters.
In a nutshell, other than a frankly,SHOCKING amount of wasted ice cream..(iykyk

It's cringe & PATHETIC. This is the worst book I've ever read istg. I was hoping for a good unrequited love trope with HEA but this book turned my mood into sour. Stay away from this book if you have some self-respect. The heroine is so cringey and she's weird AF. her lines? fvcking corny. She's the reason why i-DNF this book. She doesn't know what self-love is. She didn't even let the hero grovel long enough. Also, the plot is weird. really really weird and the whole duration I was reading this, my reaction was "???!!" coz the hero was also airheaded. He's an idiot. And one last thing, the hero had anger issues,,, but I think i am the one who has it after reading the book tbh.

I know this book has tropes that I didn't like, but I went open-minded because people seem to like it and sometimes it works.
But Salem doesn't have any self-respect, she turns fast in annoying territory. Later I was bored with her because all she is taking about his Arrow and it's sad to that she thinks she some dangerous girl.
Now Arrow has the personality of a wet cloth, and that is I didn’t love Sarah bitch you were with her for 8 years stfu.
And cherry on top they have no chemistry like is get her oppression but him why ..whatever I bored and annoyed.

Only think I liked was rest of the girls and that sneak peak in second book which I have hopes for.
