So this started off as a four-star for me. I enjoyed the angst and I felt the chemistry between the two characters. I love Alejo as a character. Alpha male, passionate and wears his heart on his sleeve. Also, soccer sports romance? Yes please!

However, once the couple ended up together, I felt the only thing that kept them going was their physical attraction to each other.

By the 60% mark, the conflict that kept them apart didn't matter anymore only to become the source of conflict once again a little later on and then only to find out that eventually the conflict could have been sorted out if someone just had the courage to speak. I found the manner in which the conflict was treated was a bit silly and I lost a little interest.

Also, this story is too long.

did not like thalia. at all. i just feel like, if you’re choosing to go with an older character (40!!!) then atleast make them act like that. why is the 23yo boy acting more mature? i didn’t like the instal or situation, def didn’t like how thalia dealt w things.

i was hoping to see how helen’s arc would turn out, bc it was getting juicy and i had an idea but i really couldn’t deal w thalia. i saw this recommended in conjunction w MZ and honestly? i would never. kulti wasn’t my favorite but even that didn’t deserve to be done so bad.

I’m struggling on how to rate this. I liked it, but something just didn’t click for me with the characters. I liked the age gap and forbidden nature of their relationship and Alejo was fantastic. I think what made me struggle was the heroine. I didn’t understand why she was “friends” with the wife of one of her ex’s coworkers and then the whole “I’m breaking up with you for your own good” really annoys me in books.

I love Kariana Hale!!! She is one of my favorite rommance authors. Ever since I read The Swedish Prince, I have been hooked and this book did not disappoint. If you want to read a dramatic, sweet & romantic book, then look no further!!! The Younger Man is the right book for you.

I did not think i would find a book that worked it’s way into my heart the way Birthday Girl did, but this book did! Oh boy do i love this! Older woman/younger man, forbidden romance it’s AMAZING!!! I am obsessed now and need more like this! The angst, the hero being 10000000% smitten, the Spanish…ugh this is just perfection!

Well that was a lot of fun. Very angsty at times but also a beautiful love story. The age difference often doesn’t work when the woman is older but despite waiting for the other shoe to drop, Halle really sold me on their relationship. Big bonus is the Madrid food, drink, and sports culture. Really glad I picked this one up. Now I want Luciano’s story!

life's too short to read stuff that bores you. this didn't start off horribly and in fact the premise is pretty original. older woman is head physical therapist for soccer team in madrid. falls for one of the players.

i can tell this is the kind of angsty emotional story that a lot of y'all will like. i'm just not real big into older woman/younger man stories and soccer is the one sport i reallllllly don't give a shit about.

You don't know how long I've waited to read this book ever since I've read the title and its blurb. I was all kinds of excited because one of my fave read author has released a younger man/ older woman story. After I've read it, it's safe to say that it has exceeded my expectations.

I couldn't help but fall in love with the chemistry that Alejo and Thalia are putting off. I don't find enough (in my opinion) books written with this trope and that in itself is such a treat. I love the build up of romance between these two. It is sweet, emotional, sexy, steamy with the right amount of angst to get you going all through the night just to finish it. I love how the main characters balances each other out. A perfect combination if I ever see one. Loved it and can't recommend this enough. A definite must read!
